What Are The Different Types Of Herpes
There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV I and HSV II. HSV I commonly causes oral herpes, or cold sores. This virus can show up as an upper respiratory tract infection during early childhood. HSV is contagious and typically transmitted through direct contact with an infected person. Anyone of any age can develop HSV if they come into contact with the virus by interacting with someone who has HSV-1 or 2.
